It is much thinner than comparable foils at just 0.22mm gauge and is flexible and easy to cut making it easy to install, yet rigid and durable when in place thus is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. 

    Unlike other reflective sheets that are actually just PET films, FLIRmask Film is a true aluminium laminate, with a 98% pure aluminium surface which dramatically increases its reflective capabilities as it’s able to reflect light across the full visible and invisible spectrum. While the texturised aluminium surface layer eliminates hotpots and deflects virtually all of the light and heat energy back towards the crop that would otherwise be lost, it's also a great insulator with its woven low E-glass (low emissivity) layer dramatically reducing thermal leakage.

    FLIRmask Astrofoil is so tough it is even used as greenhouse flooring to maximise light usage and insulate against the cool ground temperature. If tractors are driving on it in commercial greenhouses then you know it's tough stuff! It is chemically, algae, and mould resistant so it can handle water, nutrient, and other liquid spillage, reducing the risk of disease and with no damage to the film.
